Senior Recruiter (GED)
A leader in development consultancy, GOPA Worldwide Consultants implements projects in developing and transition economies on behalf of national and international development partners, national authorities, industry representatives and civil society organisations. To ensure that the programmes we implement, have a lasting impact in terms of economic growth, sustainability and poverty reduction, we target structural reforms and capacity building in five core sectors. These five sectors represent our commitment to improve the social and economic situation of people through Education and Employment Promotion, Governance and Economic Development, Rural Development and Environment; and measuring the long-term impact of interventions through Statistics and Monitoring and Evaluation.

GOPA Worldwide Consultants is looking for a Senior Recruiter (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible in our Governance and Economic Development department in Bad Homburg (near Frankfurt am Main).

As Senior Recruiter you are responsible for the professional recruitment of the suitable experts during project acquisition and project implementation according to project specific requirements, thereby working with the management and the employees of the assigned department. You will also manage a small team of recruiters.
Mission to accomplish: your tasks

  • Setting standards and definition of suitable recruiting strategies;
  • Early identification of experts for upcoming projects via various recruiting channels;
  • Establishing and maintaining contact with potential experts;
  • If needed, undertaking fact-finding missions to head-hunt required personnel in the country;
  • Assessing CVs in an evaluation grid and selecting potential candidates in discussion with the Bid Manager;
  • Negotiating fees and creating pre-bid agreements in cooperation with the team;
  • In specific instances, coordinating projects, including taking responsibility for the project outcome. This comprises:
    • Coordinating and supervising project workflows and project activities;
    • Ongoing consultation with donors, project partners and consortium partners

Where your heart is: your profile
  • A university degree (bachelor or master) in human resources, social sciences or economics, or equivalent
  • Professional experience in recruitment in a service-oriented environment, preferably with active sourcing
  • Full proficiency in English and either French or Spanish. German language skills are an asset
  • Experience in the field of International Cooperation would be considered an asset
  • A developed sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Capacity for taking initiative and independent decision-making
  • Demonstrable strength to work reliably and accurately
  • Ability to keep track of tasks even under high work load and to meet tight deadlines
